Benjamin Franklin and The Bible.

Before Benjamin Franklin became the President of the US, he was the US Ambassador to France. In France, he was a member of a literary society. In one of their meetings, he presented a paper on the life of the biblical RUTH. After his presentation, the members of that society were all astounded, and they enjoined Him to give them the lease to publish that story for a more public view. In reply, HE Said : ' It has already been published in this book which all of you obscurely despise : THE BIBLE' That marked the end of that day's gathering.
